5 Best Facebook Apps ever

If you're like me, you’re constantly pestered hundreds (even thousands) of maddening apps, which are littered with Facebook since the site became an open application platform in May 2007. Many of them are wasting time, poorly designed, useless, or a combination of these three.

Most applications are of no value. You already have a place on your profile to talk about music, movies and TV shows you like, do you need extra applications for these things? You really don’t.

But to my surprise, there are in fact some Facebook apps that are somewhat useful or productive. (Facebook? Productive? It's True!) Here is a guide to Facebook applications that are practical and well designed, or at least don't annoy the hell of your friends when you go to your profile.

Scrabulous

Scrabulous is the number one app in my list. I often play online Scrabble with friends and relatives, around the globe. When I was young, Scrabble has always been a game I liked playing with my grandparents.

Texas Hold'em.

Where I’ve Been

The Where I've Been application is attractive because you can share with others places that you have visited, lived, and looking forward to visit. You can compare maps with your friends and see where they have lived and traveled. Where I've Been is not only restricted to countries, It also covers all U.S. states, Canadian provinces and other international regions of the world.

Texas HoldEm Poker

As a fan of poker, I often use this application. I particularly like that this application allows you to see if any of your friends is playing? If you see someone you know is playing, you can join their table and even chat with them in the game. One of the latest features actually allows you to create private tables with people you know. A disadvantage of this game is that you only get a certain number of chips each day. You can not keep losing and load your chips all day.

Courses 2.0

Facebooker students everywhere cried when Facebook took down its Official Courses App, but many third party applications rushed to fill the gap. My favorite is Cramster's Courses 2.0, which allows you to share your class and work schedule (and other commitments of regular time) with your world of Facebook friends. As the original application, you can see who else is in your class (provided they also have over 2.0) and form study groups, sell books, and so on. The usefulness of this app really depends on how many others at your school (or in your network) use it; otherwise it's simply a posted schedule, alerting your stalkers to your whereabouts at all time.

Flog Blog

If you are a blogger and you want to link your Facebook profile and a blog, then it is the application for you. Flog Blog allows your friends to read your posts on your Facebook profile. Now I know you're worried about probably take away from real traffic to your blog, but do not worry there are permanent links to your site.

Thats is it for now folks...

Your feedback would really be appreciated!

Cheers!
